You’re invited to participate in the Futures for Kids/Career Cruising Network webinar training and demonstration sessions listed below. New users will learn how to get started using the program, and others will get a refresher. These sessions will complement in-person training that we may have conducted or are planning to conduct in your school system. There is no charge; just click on the date to register for the corresponding webinar.

You can participate individually at your computer or as a group, so please invite others at your school to participate. Please join the webinar five minutes before the start time; the webinars will begin promptly at the scheduled time. You will be provided with a toll-free number to join a conference call for the audio portion of the webinar, so you will need a phone next to your computer. If you are joining with a group, you’ll need an LCD projector for your computer and a speaker phone for the audio.

Please note: If there are fewer than 10 people registered for a webinar and there is a pre-recorded version available, the live webinar will be canceled in favor of the recorded version and we will be available for questions and follow-up.

Educator Training - Student Side:
An introduction to the student-oriented features, including: Matchmaker interest inventory, Learning Styles inventory, Careers database, Career Coach and employer message boards, and the Portfolio tool with tips on using it to manage graduation projects.

Educator Training - CAMS (Career Advisor Management System):
Will cover the administrative features, including: managing student groups and advisor accounts, viewing aggregate reports and accessing helpful documents.

Educator Training - Ability Profiler*:
Will prepare you to administer the Ability Profiler in a proper testing environment in order for users' results to be an accurate reflection of their aptitudes.  *(required for activation)

Educator Training - Employment Section:
Will introduce the features of our NEW Employment section, highlighting the Employment Guide and Job Search Tool, and demonstrate ways to use this exciting new tool as it integrates seamlessly with our easy-to-use Resume Builder. *PLEASE NOTE:  at the conclusion of the 1-hour session, there will be an optional 30-minute Q&A session.

Educator Training - Portfolio Development:
Will focus on electronic Portfolio creation and management using the Career Cruising Portfolio along with CAMS; topics covered will include suggestions for implementation and satisfying requirements as well as customization options. *PLEASE NOTE:  at the conclusion of the 1-hour session, there will be an optional 30-minute Q&A session.

Thursday, June 23 • 4:00pm-5:00pm

2. You will then receive confirmation of the training along with a direct link to access the web training and system requirements. This link is what you will use to participate.

3. Please make sure you have received the confirmation link as you will be unable to participate without it. If you don’t see the link, please check your junk email folder.

4. If you still have not received a confirmation link after registering or have misplaced your registration link, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance so we may assist you. The confirmation link is your key as a participant for the webinar and we will be unable to provide this link the day of the training so please verify you have it in advance.
