Did you have someone who helped you get
where you are today, or do you wish you had?
As a Career
Coach with F4K,
you can
provide feedback and encouragement for students interested in what it is
you do—what you like best, how you got there and why. It only takes a
few minutes a week, and you can make an impact on a child’s future while
offering guidance to our future workforce. Everything is online so you
can answer questions when your schedule permits, wherever you have an
internet connection.

Why Work-Based Learning?
It's a chance to connect the real world and the classroom, reaching the
students who are our future workforce and providing a context of
relevance that makes education an opportunity rather than an obligation.
Why F4K?
Businesses want to help, educators want volunteers, but no one has the
time to track each other down. Using F4K's web-based infrastructure and
existing network, participants can outline their availability, students
can search for opportunities, and educators can coordinate it all simply
and virtually. A win for everyone, especially students. |

Futures for Kids (F4K) is a non-profit organization that uses technology to help students explore career
opportunities related to their interests and passions. Through its online program, F4K also connects mentors
with middle and high school students in North Carolina, regardless of location or socioeconomic background,
to provide the relevance and motivation the students need to stay in school and succeed. |
