MANAGE the NC Graduation Project
F4K
provides an electronic portfolio where students can
upload and maintain documents, log mentoring
conversations and save research in a single location. Students can choose to share their portfolio with
others, such as parents or mentors, and educators can
also view the portfolio and provide documents or links
of their own for the students’ use.

CONNECT with mentors and employers
Through F4K, students have access to over 700 Career
Coaches who have all had background checks and are ready
to answer questions about their careers and companies. It’s a chance for students to get advice on high school
course selection, their grad project product, or how to
find an internship in their field of interest.
CREATE a career-focused graduation plan
As
students discover careers that interest them and
what they need to do to get there, they can plug their
findings directly into their four-year graduation plan.
This forges a direct link between their classes and
their future success, highlighting the real-world
relevance of school.
REGISTER for classes electronically
Course Planner is an online course registration program that
validates students’ course selections through
prerequisites, counselors’ advisory notes, and academic
history and will interface with NCWISE. This optional,
fee-based program will be available
on a limited basis for a 2008-2009 pilot.
